Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of thematic Qur’anic-Nabawi interpretation on
educational supervision with modern educational supervisory practices at SMPI Sawahan
Turen Malang. The research focuses on the concept of educational supervision from the
perspectives of the Qur’an and Hadith, the implementation of educational supervision
within the school environment, and the relevance of Islamic supervisory values in
fostering teachers, students, and institutional management. The study employed a
qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through observation,
in-depth interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using a thematic
interpretation approach to Qur’anic verses and Hadiths concerning supervision, including
QS. Al-‘Alaq: 14, QS. Qaf: 18, QS. At-Taubah: 105, QS. An-Nisa’: 135, as well as Hadiths
related to leadership responsibility and the concept of *ihsan*. The findings reveal that
educational supervision in the school is not merely administrative in nature, but also
educational and religious through the cultivation of discipline, trustworthiness, and
responsibility. The concept of *muraqabah* serves as the foundation of the school culture,
reflected in habitual worship practices, behavioral monitoring, and humane social control.
Teacher supervision is conducted through instructional monitoring, evaluation of teaching
instruments, periodic guidance, and collaborative reflection. Furthermore, exemplarybased
supervision has proven effective in strengthening teacher professionalism and
shaping students’ character. This study confirms that the integration of Qur’anic-Nabawi
values can reinforce the system of Islamic educational supervision in a holistic and
sustainable manner
